I’ve been there
“The only constant in life is change,” said Heraclitus — and this has been a guiding thought for me throughout my life. Change has played a profound role in shaping my personal and professional journey, sometimes sparking excitement, other times bringing challenges and uncertainty.
I chose to become a psychologist because of a deep, personal desire to understand myself and others better, and to find more meaningful ways to connect — both with those around me and with my inner self.
Living and working in places like the United States, Hungary, and England, volunteering in Ghana and Georgia, and immersing myself in Buddhist practice and meditation in Thailand helped broaden my perspective on resilience, identity, and belonging. Eventually, I found my home in the Netherlands — where I feel truly connected.
An even deeper life transition came when I became a mother — a beautiful, transformative experience that also brought vulnerability, growth, and new challenges.
These personal experiences help me truly connect with clients who are navigating their own major life transitions.
In my practice, I work mainly with expats, students, and new parents. Many of them are adjusting to change, facing uncertainty, or feeling disconnected — whether from themselves or others. I understand these experiences not only professionally but personally. Building a warm, safe, and authentic therapeutic relationship is at the core of my work, as I truly believe that meaningful change begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood.
Outside of my practice, I enjoy reading, meditating, running, and spending time with my husband, our young son, and our dog. I highly value ongoing professional development and regularly participate in trainings, peer consultation groups, and conferences to continue refining my skills and providing thoughtful, high-quality care.

What can Treehouse Therapy offer you?
Everybody goes through difficulties at some point in their lives. Each person deals with these obstacles on their own. Through Treehouse Therapy I want to offer you a safe space where you can be yourself, and where we work together on dealing with the issues you currently face. Treehouse Therapy is a place where we will help you gain new insight into what’s important to you, and what your values are, and together, we can clear the road ahead to get a better overview of your next steps in life. Step-by-step, we will explore the issues you face in a safe, comfortable environment.
My approach
My approach to therapy is deeply person-centred. You, as a whole person — not just your symptoms or struggles — are at the heart of our work together. We will explore where you are in your life right now, looking at your experiences from a holistic perspective and making sense of them in a way that feels meaningful to you.
A strong therapeutic relationship is essential for meaningful change. Therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and respected. Building trust and a genuine connection between us is therefore an important part of the process. At Treehouse Therapy, I strive to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can speak openly and feel truly heard.
In terms of methods, I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Depending on your needs and goals, I integrate tools and techniques from these approaches, tailoring the process to fit you rather than fitting you into a single model.
Are you ready to give healing a try? And are you curious to see if we would be a good match? Book an appointment now.
